Norman Van Treeck

Norman is a registered patent attorney and represents clients ranging from startup ventures to Fortune 500 corporations in all aspects of intellectual property. Norman works closely with sole inventors and in-house counsel to develop effective intellectual property strategies to meet each client’s needs and expectations.

Norman holds a degree in Computer Science, with minors in Math and Statistics. His technical expertise, as well as his leadership qualities, were further developed as Chief Fire Control Technician in the U.S. Navy specializing in computer hardware, radar systems, microwave systems and advanced electronics. After the military, Norman’s programming skills and experience designing network architecture eventually led to his position as Vice President of Systems and Network Engineering for a Los Angeles-based Internet company. Norman’s legal practice incorporates his computer science and electronics experience to service his high-tech intellectual property clientele.

Norman is a green power enthusiast and experimenter as well as an avid amateur astronomer. He presented to the Riverside Astronomical Society a speech entitled, “What is Pi, tiny computers for astrophotography.”
